Membership Registration and Horse Recording Instructions

General Information

  • Every member must use their own account to join or renew their membership and record horses.  
  • Horse's can only be recorded on accounts of members that have a full AHJA membership.  Category 2 memberships do not require horse recording.
  • Horses can only belong to one member account.  In the case of a jointly owned horse, you must decide who is the primary owner and record the horse on that account.
  • You cannot record a horse on behalf of another member. 
  • If a horse has been sold or leased to another member, the other member has to initiate the recording in order to move the horse to their account.
  • Be sure to use only the horse's owner (or official lessee) on all show entry forms to avoid problems with points.
  • Are you planning on showing at  Category 1 USEF shows?  Be sure to put your USEF number is in your profile, and that each horse you are planning to show has a USEF number entered in their profile.  This will avoid missing points from USEF shows.
  • "My Account" is your gateway to managing and reviewing everything on your account: membership, horse recording, your personal results, past payments, and more.

Returning AHJA Members:

  1. If you have not done so already, login to your account. Click HERE.  If you can't remember how to login to your account, Click HEREDO NOT CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE AN AHJA NUMBER.

  2. Go to your "My Account" page.  Click HERE.

  3. If you need to make changes to your user name or email address, click on the ACCOUNT SETTINGS button.  If you need to update your profile (name, phone, address, membership type, USEF number) first click on "Main Profile", then click on the UPDATE PROFILE button. Business members can update update their business listing by clicking on the "Business Profile" link.

  4. When you done updating your information, return to your "My Account" page.  Click HERE.

  5. Click on the Green RENEW button.

  6. Choose appropriate membership option and click submit.  This will add your membership renewal to the shopping cart.  Category 2 members go to step 10.

  7. Review the list of horses on your account and make updates using the "Update or Record" drop down menu.  You can mark horses as no longer owned, deceased, or no longer showing.   Select the horse you want to update by clicking the text box next to its name, then choose the action on the Update or Record drop down.  Be sure to check the bottom of the screen for each confirmation step.

  8. Similarly, you can add annual horse recordings to your shopping cart by selecting the horse(s) for annual recording, and select  "Annual Recording" on the Update or Record drop down.  Be sure to check the bottom of the screen for each confirmation step.  Repeat for horse you want to "Life" record.

  9. You can  add new horses to your account by clicking on the "ADD HORSE" button.  Follow the instructions, select the appropriate recording type.  This will add the new horse to your cart.

  10. A shopping cart block will appear in the sidebar (or scroll down if you are on a phone or some tablets).  Click on "View cart" to review your items.  When you are satisfied, click on "Checkout".  Follow the instructions to complete payment.  If you choose to mail in a check, your membership will not be effective until your check is received and posted to the website.  Choose PayPal to complete your membership online.  You do not have to have a PayPal account, you can use PayPal's guest checkout to use a credit card without logging into PayPal.  Your membership will be effective when PayPal reports a completed payment back to the website.

New AHJA Members:
 

  1. Create a new account. Click HERE.  

  2. Complete your Profile, and click "Save".  Be sure to correct any errors on the form. 

  3. You will be redirected to your account page.  If for some reason you aren't redirect to that page, click on "My Account" in the top right hand corner of the page.

  4. Click on the "Join" button.

  5. Choose appropriate membership option and click submit.  This will add your membership  to the shopping cart.

  6. You can  add new horses to your account by clicking on the "ADD HORSE" button.  Follow the instructions, select the appropriate recording type.  This will add the new horse to your cart.

  7.
