AHJA Show Approval Guidelines

To be recognized and pointed by the Arizona Hunter Jumper Association (AHJA), shows must meet the following criteria:

Show Year

  • The AHJA show year runs from December 1 through November 30.
  • Shows starting on or before November 30 will count toward the current show year, regardless of their end date.

Category 1 Shows (USEF Rated)

  • Must be USEF-approved and rated as Premier (AA), National (A), Regional I (B), Regional II (C), or Local.
  • Must be held in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, California, or Nevada.
  • Completion of the AHJA Show Approval Application is required.
  • Arizona Category 1 shows: No application fee.
  • Out-of-state Category 1 shows: Require a $100 application fee per show.

Category 2 Shows (Unrated/Outreach)

  • Unrated by USEF but still eligible for AHJA recognition.
  • Must complete the AHJA Show Approval Application.
  • Arizona Category 2 shows: No application fee.
  • If two Category 2 shows are scheduled for the same dates within 100 driving miles of each other, only the first application received will be approved.
